Nursing Resources

This guide gives direct access to databases, journals, and books that can be helpful to the nursing student. Remember that this is just a snapshot of resources, and that you can always contact us to ask at (915) 778-4001 for any guidance for your information needs.

Nursing Research Tools

The Library offers free one-hour classes on nursing research tools:

EBSCO and PubMED

These two two resources provide a wealth of information in nursing as well as allied health, alternative medicine, and consumer health. They give evidence-based information on diseases and conditions, treatment options, and drug information. Learn how to search with precision, save time and compile your research efficiently.

If you'd like a class on another topic or for your course, just contact us!

Librarian Assistance

Our friendly reference librarian can help you with general information (such as locating full-text articles) or in-depth research questions (like how to use research databases). Stop by the Reference Desk for one-on-one help. You may also call, email, or chat us!
